About Kaleidoscope Kids Muncie

Janelle Kramer was born and raised in the Muncie area. She attended Ball State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Throughout college, Janelle worked in the front office of Jud Construction but struggled to find acceptable childcare for her first daughter.  Frustrated with her options, Janelle left the workforce and opened her first in-home daycare on November 7, 1987, with just two children. As word of mouth spread about the incredible care Janelle offered, she began purchasing more homes to license with the State of Indiana for childcare. Though the state licensed homes provided an invaluable service to the Muncie area, it has always been Janelle's dream to build a state-of-the-art childcare center. In 2023, Janelle partnered with Jud Construction (her former employer and longtime family friend) to build the daycare center she has dreamt of.  It is an honor for Janelle to be able to offer her program and years of childcare experience to more families in the Muncie community as Kaleidoscope Kids becomes a reality!
